The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council of Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Distinguished Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN, has declared that Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji of All Progressives Congress (APC) will convincingly win the off-cycle governorship election holding on Saturday, June 20, 2026, in Ekiti State, to secure his return for a second term in office.
Ndoma-Egba, a top chieftain of the APC and ex-Senate Leader from Cross River State, in a statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday, averred that the election would be an easy win for Oyebanji due to the remarkable feats recorded in his first term.
“As the good people of Ekiti State get set for the governorship poll taking place on Saturday, June 20, 2026, I extend my firmly profound support and best wishes to the incumbent Governor, His Excellency, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, in his aspiration to secure a second term.
“Governor Oyebanji, no doubt, truly deserves to be re-elected for the good governance he has offered the citizens resident in Ekiti State. The governor has in his running the affairs of Ekiti State since assumption of office, demonstrated an exceptional capacity for pragmatic and visionary leadership, bringing tangible dividends of democracy which have made significant impact in the lives of Ekiti people,” Ndoma-Egba remarked.
The one-time Chairman of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), who is frequently in Ekiti because of his position as the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council of FUOYE, maintained that Oyebanji’s continuity will consolidate his developmental strides, adding that the governor’s achievements were visible for all to see.
Ndoma-Egba expressed confidence that Ekiti people would overwhelmingly renew Oyebanji’s mandate for further economic growth and development in the state.
He urged the electorate in Ekiti State to conduct themselves peacefully in the course of the guber poll, while calling on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure a free, fair and transparent exercise.
