The Parents Forum Meeting held on Tuesday, 9th June, 2026 at the ETF Auditorium, Igbariam Campus of the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, has produced Sir. Chris Chikwelu and Seven others to lead the Forum.
Parents Forum of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University is another initiative of the Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha’s led Management. This initiative is aimed at bolstering the University Management’s belief that the critical roles of Parents as co-partners in training the Students cannot be underestimated.
Other Members of the pioneering committee include; Dr. Chinasa Iloabueke – Vice Chairman, Prof A. C. Nweke, Mrs Ojukwu Kate, N.Dr. Mrs. Ifeoma Nwafor, Engr. Obiora Manafa, Dr Ilechukwu and Mr. Chinoso Adde. They are to provide leadership and serve as the official coordinators and channel of communication of the forum. The interim leadership was duly inaugurated by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, fnipr.
The meeting is coming amidst concerns of rumors, false narratives and other challenges relating to insecurity, etc. The University Management used the medium to explain in clear terms, the false narratives as well as the true situation of the progress and other successes recorded in the University.
The resolutions of the meeting were contained in a communique which was reached after intensive deliberations to make the COOU-PARENTS FORUM a part of the University calender rather than a casual one-off event.
We welcome the leadership of the COOU-PF and like Madam Vice-Chancellor would always borrow the words of Mr. Governor, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR, – THIS IS AN AGENDA WITH A DEADLINE. Congratulations!
