Scion of the respected Fasehun family, Olufemi Omola Fasehun has raised the alarm over activities of high profile land grabbers in Lagos trying to disposes the family through forceful invasion of their property located at no. 10 Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun, Ikeja.
The family has called on President Bola Tinubu , Lagos Governor, Sanwo -Olu and the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun to step in and put a stop to the criminality.
Fasehun alleged that some high profile politicians in the state including Chief Tomori Williams, Cardinal Omolaja Odunmbaku a.k.a Baba Eto are part of the gang trying to grab the family property as well as claiming other people’s lands in the state.
He asked the presidency and Lagos government to investigate the activities of the men to come to the family rescue.
He said he grew up living inside the 2 Acre land property with his father who died in 2004.
He said the property was bought by his father in the 60s and that he grew up there and was going to school from there before he traveled to the United states.
He is a civil engineer.
According to him ‘ The house on this property is over 60 years. I grew up here.
“My father was using part of the property for poultry and some part for pigry. It was when my father died in 2004 that they felt it was time to strike and since that time they have been making attempts.
“” They have been using the police from zone 2 and Alagbon where they are using one police officer, Danko to harass the people that guide the property.
” At more than 4 occasions last year the police have been here to arrest those working in the site and the sad thing is that we have all the documents.
“” I am appealing to Mr. President Bola Tinubu , Sanwo-Olu, Lagos governor and the Inspector general of police, Egbetokun to intervene”.
Also corroborating what fasehun disclosed during the briefing on Monday, 23, the solicitor and legal adviser in-charge of the property Otunba Remi Adeoye said Chief Ebenezer Oladipo Fasehun ( Father of Olufemi) acquired the land in 1960 and that the registered deed and all documents were in tact.
He said there is interlocutory injunction on the property in Hon. Justice Osuala Court, urging any party to respect the rule of Law and come to the court to get judgement.
Adeoye said the fasehun family are in possession of all valid documents concerning the property, cautioning trespassers “”to be warned of the legal implications of their criminal project”.
Lawyers for reform group and Centre for human and socio-economic rights (CHSR) have also shown interest in the case, and monitoring developments on its judgement.
