Erstwhile Senate Leader and incumbent Pro-Chancellor/Chairman Governing Council of Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), Distinguished Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN, has declared that Cross Riverians from Ikom, Boki, Obubra and Etung Local Government Areas (LGAs) remain committed to the re-election bid of Governor Bassey Otu and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) in 2027.

Ndoma-Egba made the declaration while speaking on the Ikom-Boki-Obubra-Etung (IBOE) Alliance, at a special dinner held in Calabar with the theme ‘One Purpose, One Vision’.

The highly respected legal luminary and ex-parliamentarian of note, was the Chairman of the occasion, which brought together a large number of stakeholders from the four LGAs making up two Federal Constituencies in the Central Senatorial District of Cross River State.

The special dinner served as a strategic gathering for the Ikom, Boki, Obubra, and Etung (IBOE) Alliance to mobilize support for the 2027 re-election campaigns of Governor Otu, President Tinubu, and other APC candidates across the Ikom/Boki Federal Constituency and Obubra/Etung Federal Constituency. The event provided a vital platform for stakeholders to network, share ideas, and analyze the current political landscape in Cross River State.

According to the former lawmaker who excellently represented Cross River Central in the Red Chamber for 12 years from 2003 to 2015, the alliance believes Cross River State must continue to maintain a strong connection with the Federal Government.

“We, the people of Ikom, Boki, Obubra and Etung, are fully committed to the return of Senator Bassey Edet Otu in 2027. We are also committed to the re-election of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027,” the FUOYE Pro-Chancellor stated.

Ndoma-Egba, a former Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and Advisory Board Chairman of Start-Rite International School, Abuja, has been a staunch supporter of Otu and Tinubu. He worked tirelessly for the victories of the duo in 2023 and appears to be determined to do more for their triumphs come 2027.
