Members of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Imo State chapter, have rejoiced with their State Governor Hope Uzodimma on his 64th birthday, while pledging to buy the re-election form for the governor next year.
Also the students affirmed that Uzodimma has the capacity and competence to lead the state into greater achievement considering his legacy projects.
The students Said ” Uzodimma has demonstrated that he has the capacity to lead the state to an enviable height, and should be encouraged to seek re-election next year”.
Felicitating with the governor on his birthday when they visited him at the Government House, Owerri, NANS leadership said that considering many gestures of the governor to students of the Imo origin, and NANS in general, they would purchase Nomination Form for him when the time comes.
Vice President of NANS, Victor Ezenagu, said they came to appreciate the governor on his birthday, and to remind him of his many gestures to Imo students, especially the role he played during NANS election, which saw an Imo student emerge as the National Vice President.
Ezenagu said that efforts the governor made to convince Federal Government to make the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Owerri, a University Teaching Hospital, and Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, a University of Education should be encouraged.
Again, the students thanked the governor for making them comfortable by embarking on the Naze/Ihiagwa road project, which, they said, has made their movement safe and smooth, “but, most importantly, the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) empowerment programme, through the Ministry of Digital Economy and E-Governance, which the Governor launched recently as ‘Skill-Up Project’ for Imo youths.”
