The police have arrested an associate professor at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Dr Kadiri Akeem accused of rape.The alleged victim (name withheld) had said the lecturer raped her on August 16, 2023 when she visited the lecturer in the office to sort out issues about her results.
A non-governmental organisation Inclusive Social Welfare and Empowerment Foundation, where the victim reported the case, got the police involved.
Spokesman of the Lagos Police Command Benjamin Hundeyin said in a post on X that the lecturer “is to appear in court in the coming days.”
