Former Senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC for Abia South federal constituency in the 2023 elections, Dr. Blessing Nwagba, has commended President Bola Tinubu for his endorcement of the South East Development Commission.
This is as she also praised the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, for his tireless efforts at ensuring that the bill which he proposed got the President’s assent.
Nwagba, also s two-term House of Assembly member in Abia State in a statement noted that with the endorsement, President Tinubu has etched his legacy as a unifier and visionary leader.
Part of the statement reads “” let me thank and commend President Tinubu for the establishment of the South East Development Commission by signing the bill into a law .
“”The creation of the SEDC is a great feat and a landmark achievement for the South East.
” It is the greatest effort at assuaging the feelings of the South East since the end of civil war with the promise of the 3Rs that never came to be .
“We must shout out our salutation to president Tinubu VERY LOUD while appreciating the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu who proposed the bill for his efforts .
” The bill is timely and it’s socio-economic and infrastructural development of the south East, all of which will assist to curb the spate of insecurity in the Southeast.
“”With this the feeling of marginalization of the South East and agitation by the youth will be minimized.”
Nwagba noted that the SEDC transcends regional interest to embodling the collective aspiration of a nation striving for equitable growth and development.
She said with the action President Tinubu has demonstrated time and again that he is a leader who leads not by sweet, enticing words but by bold and decisive action.
Nwagba praised the President for his progressive vision, unwavering dedication to unity and his steadfast leadership in advancing development of the Southeast zone.
