Soludo Wins Anambra Governorship Election in Landslide Victory

Chukwuma Soludo, candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has been declared the winner of the Anambra State governorship election, securing a decisive victory with 422,664 votes.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced the results on Sunday, with Soludo maintaining a commanding lead over his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who garnered 99,445 votes .

Breakdown of Results
– *APGA*: 422,664 votes
– *APC*: 99,445 votes
– *ADC*: 8,208 votes
– *PDP*: 1,401 votes
– *LP*: 10,576 votes
– *YPP*: 37,753 votes

Soludo swept all 21 local government areas, with notable wins in Aguata LGA (35,559 votes), Anambra West LGA (71,365 votes), and Awka South LGA (27,896 votes).

The election was marked by a peaceful atmosphere, despite claims of vote-buying and voter apathy .

Soludo has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a credible and efficient election, praising the new INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Ojo Amupitan, for his leadership .
